The protection of Loreto’s many estuaries falls squarely within KLM’s mission, and in some cases, our help arrives just in a nick of time. Recently, one of the estuaries north of Loreto has received lots of attention from KLM.
KLM has partnered with Cesar Diaz of EnviroClean Recycling of Loreto, by providing funding, support and supplemental workers, to remove plastic irrigation piping from the greater Loreto area and send them to recycling partners in Mexico.

Meet Li (short for "liebre" -- which means "jackrabbit" in Spanish). Li is a baby jackrabbit and the newest patient at KLM’s wildlife rescue sanctuary. Amazingly, it turns out that Li the jackrabbit has something in common with the 18th century Venetian composer Antonio Lucio Vivaldi.
