Strengthening Loreto’s Eco-Tourism

While all of KLM’s environment-focused programs strengthen Loreto’s eco-tourism future, our efforts to build conservation-friendly capacity within the community and empower local ranchers, business, and other program implementers, enables sustainable eco-tourism for Loreto to thrive well into the future.

Programs

CSA Start-Up Support

Keep Loreto Magical assists Loretano farmers and their families establish Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs, which gives them a steady market for their products and delivers cost-accessible, locally grown organic food to the tables of residents and restaurants. Keeping our local farmers profitable helps thwart mining companies or developers from buying them out and threatening our precious water aquifers.

Ranch Diversification

Via a grant from New England International Donors, Keep Loreto Magical is supporting the growth of low-water-consumption organic plants that farmers can use for their goats and, in turn, bring their goat-dairy products to Loreto markets more sustainably.

national Marine Park

Loreto is indeed a magical place and its marine park even more so. Please join us in ensuring that the Loreto Bay National Marine Park remains a beautiful sanctuary for all of us and our amphibian friends.
