EVENT DESCRIPTION

Visit the Community Supported Agricultural (CSA) gardens in San Javier at "Jardin Jesuita". We will spend about one hour at the gardens to learn how and what is harvested. Just the irrigation is fascinating! Learn about the Bastida Family heirloom seeds and the history of the families who grow our food. Return to Loreto at your own leisure.

The community supported agriculture CSA of San Javier is led by Luis Bastida (Photo: Luis with sons Esteban and Fidel). CSA of San Javier supports from 4 to 12 farmers as the season progresses. Come join the harvest and witness the produce, which is fresh cut for delivery, no pesticides and local!

WHERE TO MEET

Meet at 8am at the intersection of Highway 1 and the road to San Javier. - MAP.

Bring your own car or ride with Cecilia Fischer with prior notice. Driving time to Jardin Jesuita is 45 minutes. When car pooling inside car we wear facemask.

WHAT TO BRING

Bring bug spray, water, comfortable covered shoes, and hat.
